BALLARD

Shana Ballard, the visionary founder of Apex Arts Studios, emerged from the vibrant entertainment scene of Los Angeles. From her early days as a child actor navigating Hollywood to joining the school orchestra at 9, music became her profound influence. Shana's decade-long stint in Broadcast Television with major networks fueled her industry expertise. In 2010, she shifted gears to event planning with LCP Events, later venturing into Real Estate in 2016.

Shana's entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Apex Arts Studios in 2019, a renowned recording haven with 8 studios and a sprawling live room. Her vision was to craft an inviting space fostering artistic collaboration.

In 2021, with husband Erich, she co-founded Apex Arts Music, aiding indie artists in publishing and distribution. 2023 marked the launch of "Of Sound Mind" education program, reflecting Shana's commitment to holistic artist development, including mental health and wellness in the music industry.

ERICH HAEMMERLE

Erich Haemmerle is the Senior VP of Apex Arts Music Publishing and Distribution and the CTO of Apex Arts Studios. As a programmer for over 25 years, he naturally found himself in a world that combined his lifelong passion for music and the arts with the technical aspects of music.

In 1994, Erich entered the medical field and worked as an X-ray technician, assisting in surgeries at his West Hills Orthopedic office. In 1998, he ventured into the tech world and began his programming career in web development for a medical-based website. For the next 24 years, Haemmerle served as a senior web developer for three global resource firms.

In 2021, Shana Ballard and Erich Haemmerle launched Apex Arts Music, a publishing and distribution company that assists independent artists in properly and effectively distributing their music. In 2023, Erich played a key role in launching the education program “Of Sound Mind” by Apex Arts Studios, serving as CTO and industry mentor.

SAM X

Sam Perlow p.k.a SAM X is a multi-instrumentalist genre-blending pop/alt-pop/R&B producer, songwriter, and recording engineer in Los Angeles, California. Sam has worked closely with artists including Fae, Lilianna Wilde, Mia Mormino, MACKGRACE, Mothica, Blake Rose, and Samantha Margret, crafting records from the ground up that have amassed millions of cross-platform streams. His first label release was "Risk it All" (Lowly) with Blake Rose, his first viral song on TikTok was "White Rabbit" with Lilianna Wilde, and he crafted Fae's fastest-growing single, "devil may care".

As a co-writer, he thrives in the developmental stage: forging an intimate understanding of each song's meaning so he can help his artists tell their best stories. As a producer and recording engineer he keeps sessions running smoothly, and always wraps up with a day of bounce that might be mistaken for a release-ready record.

SYD & ASH

Meet the dynamic duo behind Lazy Pickle Studios, Syd and Ash! They met in 2016 at a writing camp in LA, where Sydney was writing songs and Ashley was filming the documentary. Their connection was instant, sparking the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Sydney is a recording artist, interior designer, and fellow podcaster.

Ashley, is a seasoned director, videographer and photographer whose passion for music and podcasts led her to create her own music interview show. With their combined expertise in design, film, and podcasting they joined forces and Lazy Pickle Studios was born.
